Neither Kate Middleton nor Prince William?uttered George H.W. Bush's?infamous "Read my lips" statement on their wedding day, but that didn't stop the press from scrutinizing the royal couple's every whisper on Friday.
Because microphones were unable to pick up all Royal Wedding exchanges, real-time?Internet speculation about what exactly was said was rampant. ABC News reported "Prince William appears to mouth the word 'beautiful' upon seeing his bride," while E! Online wondered what Prince Harry told his older brother when he "turned around, checked out Kate and said something off-the-cuff."
Lip readers Tina Lannin of the?Associated Press?and?Terry Ruane?of ABC News were among the professionals recruited to reveal what cameras caught that mics didn't. The experts revealed, among other things, that the exchanges between royals varied from the complimentary -- Prince William to Kate at the altar, "You look beautiful" -- to the unintentionally humorous -- Prince William to Kate, "I don't think you should bow quite yet."
Highlights from the lip-readers' translations follow:
From the ceremony:
Pippa Middleton to sister Kate: "You look amazing."
Kate to Bishop before walking down the aisle: "Yes I suppose so ... I expect I'll be worn out today. Thank you."
Prince William to Middleton at the altar: "You look lovely ...(unclear)... You look beautiful."
Prince William teasing Kate's father Michael Middleton: "We're supposed to have just a small family affair."

Prince William: "I don't think you should bow quite yet. I think you should just bow your head, okay?"
Middleton: "Okay."
From Buckingham Palace balcony:?
Prince William: "Just do a bit of everything. Do you like the balloons (unclear) they go up in the air."
Middleton: "Look at these people."
