After dropping tantalizing hints on Twitter about the names of their newborn twin babies (they both start with the letter "M"), Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon have gone public, revealing on Carey's official website that -- drumroll, please! -- they've named their daughter Monroe Cannon and their son Moroccan Scott. So "#dembabies," as Carey has jokingly referred to the twins on Twitter throughout her pregnancy, now have names!
Nick Cannon has said he has been humbled by the birth, tweeting, "I'm in the happiest place I've ever been in my life. I never had more amazing things happening. I am humbled by God's Favor!!"
The couple took the happy opportunity of the twins' birth -- which coincided with their third wedding anniversary! -- to renew their wedding vows on Saturday. Rev. Al Sharpton performed the ceremony in Carey's hospital room, and even blessed Monroe and Moroccan while he was there..
Carey and Cannon have not been shy about sharing their experiences of the pregnancy, with Carey opening up about her cravings, Cannon stating he would probably faint when Mariah gives birth, and, oh yeah, that risque nude magazine cover. Carey said, "My ultimate goal was to share this incredibly personal moment with my true fans."
The couple have Tweeted incessantly throughout the pregnancy, and the twins, while just babies, are already famous! Welcome to the world, Monroe Cannon and Moroccan Scott!
