Kids on Bikes was selected with Community Partnership for Child Development to be featured at a Community Dinner by Garden of the Gods? Gourmet.? The purpose of the Community Dinners is to increase awareness of both organization?s mission and programs and to raise funds for the agency.? Garden of the Gods? Gourmet is honored to partner with Kids on Bikes as we use food to build bridges to new understandings of the needs and services that are part of the wonderful community that is Colorado Springs.
The Garden of the Gods Gourmet chefs plan and prepare a delicious buffet for $ 20 per person.? Half of our proceeds from the evening will be donated to the featured organizations. The dinner is open to 200 wonderful community members. It will be held at their new venue at 320 S. Weber. We hope you can join us for this amazing community event and support two organizations making an incredible difference in the lives of local children in need.

?Right now,?10,218 children in El Paso County are living in poverty. These children are more likely to later drop out of school, commit crimes, become teen parents and depend on public assistance. This can all be changed with an early childhood education and family support.
Community Partnership for Child Development provides more than?1,900 children living in poverty or challenged?by special circumstances?with an early childhood education through Head Start, Early Head Start and the Colorado Preschool Program. But we aren?t just a free preschool. Our additional health, dental and family support services ensure that we bring out the best in the children and families who enroll.?
