For those who are not familiar, the Race to Anyplace is the largest indoor stationary bike race in Western Pennsylvania and one of the largest fundraising events for the W.PA / WV Chapter of the?Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.? Sweet!? Its a 6-hour relay race split up into (24) 15-minute intervals.? Teams can consist of 1-24 riders.? Most usually max out with about 12.? The Pittsburgh BELLAs had 4 riders this year, so we each got to ?enjoy? 6 intervals of our very own.? Mmmm mmmm sizzle, burn!!!?
Thanks to BLISS ?out of all the painful and sizzling moments we endure in these 6 hours our (in the words of DZ Nuts) junk was protected!? BELLAs wont clip in without it!? 
The womens spin division (there are also airdynes.. ew) was stacked this year!? Teams consisted of Bellas, Chics, Femmes, She-Ra?s and?Vixens and every single one of them brought their game faces, legs, lungs,?brawn,?competitive rivalry &?a nice dose of smack talk!? Are you even trying!???Is that all you got!?? Hey, did you know there?s a race going on!! YEEEEEAH!!? We might giggle and compliment each others kits and hair, but when the race director says ?GO!? its freaking on like donkey kong!?
However, in between all the serious raceness and HTFU attitudes there is a ridiculous amount of goofing off that cannot be obtained in any other race!? Sitting stationary for a race just opens up a whole new window of vulnerability? especially with the large amount of goofballs I associate myself with?

A shout out to the Steel City She-Ra?s for taking 1st place for women?s spin division.? Great job, ladies!? Your coach taught you well!!? Sooo you get to keep the?traveling plaque for another season, Princess? of Power.??Fine!? Until next year?

75 teams got together to raise over $120,000 for the LLS!? The missions and goals of the LLS is to cure blood related cancers (leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkins disease and myeloma) and improve the quality of life for patients and families!!? It is probably impossible to truly value the LLS until we ourselves are directly impacted by one of these cancers, but I feel truly honored to have met so many wonderful patient heroes and survivors over the years and do appreciate what a blessing the LLS has been to them.?
I am proud to report that in the past four years the Pittsburgh BELLAs have raised over $9,2oo for cancer research!? I?d like to consider us our own style of Charlie?s Angels? mountain biking,?karate kicking, cancer fighting NINJAS!!??(One of my teammates is actually standing right next to you, but you?ll never see her.)? Now I feel the need for a BELLA ROLL CALL?!!?Kelly Ayers, Lee-Ann Beatty, Michelle Beitko, Michelle Johnson, Lauren Mika, Angelina Palermo, Ryanne Palermo, Charlene C-Dub Walters!!??Forever a BELLA!!? Much love ladies!!?
One more shout out. In the mix of everything, all the fundraising, shout outs to the causes and patients, good racing fun and CANCER SUCKS mantras its still feels too easy to miss what this is all about.? Below is one amazing cancer patient?s (Woody Roseland) sense of humor and reminder???
