TORONTO (Reuters) - A senior official at the Canadian Auto Workers said the union hopes to reach a labor contract agreement with Ford Motor Co before Monday's end-of-day strike deadline, but added there is still work to do to get a deal. The union, which represents about 20,000 workers at the Detroit Three automakers in Canada, chose Ford on Sunday as the lead company in contract talks, saying it has been most receptive to a CAW proposal to cut labor costs.
