CRA Recommending Tax Season Look-Ahead for University Students

The Canada Revenue Agency?is reminding students to start thinking ahead to income tax season.

Debbie Johnson of the Canada Revenue Agency says moving expenses, transit passes, and tuition fees are tax deduction?options for University students.

Johnson says that students may?be able to claim a full-time?education amount of 4 hundred dollars each month when enrolled in a qualifying program at the post-secondary level.

In addition, she says students may be able to claim a textbook amount, interest on student loans, and a goods and services tax credit.
